Google DoubleClick

Nature and Scope of Processing

We have integrated components of DoubleClick by Google on our website. DoubleClick is a brand of Google under which special online marketing solutions are primarily marketed to advertising agencies and publishers. DoubleClick by Google transmits data to the DoubleClick server with every impression as well as with clicks or other activities.

Each of these data transfers triggers a cookie request to the browser of the data subject. If the browser accepts this request, DoubleClick sets a cookie in your browser.

DoubleClick uses a cookie ID, which is necessary for processing the technical procedure. The cookie ID is needed, for example, to display an advertisement in a browser. DoubleClick can also use the cookie ID to record which advertisements have already been displayed in a browser to avoid double placements. Furthermore, the cookie ID enables DoubleClick to record conversions. Conversions are recorded, for example, if a user was previously shown a DoubleClick advertisement and subsequently makes a purchase on the advertiser's website using the same internet browser.

A DoubleClick cookie does not contain any personal data but may contain additional campaign identifiers. A campaign identifier serves to identify the campaigns with which you have already been in contact on other websites. Within the scope of this service, Google gains knowledge of data that Google also uses to create commission statements. Google can, among other things, track that you have clicked on certain links on our website. Your data is transferred in this case to the operator of DoubleClick, Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Further information and the applicable data protection provisions of DoubleClick by Google can be found at https://policies.google.com/privacy.

Purpose and Legal Basis

We process your data with the help of the DoubleClick cookie for the purpose of optimizing and displaying advertising on the basis of your consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and §25 (1) TDDDG. You give your consent by adjusting the settings for the use of cookies (cookie banner / consent manager), with which you can also declare your revocation at any time with effect for the future pursuant to Art. 7(3) GDPR. The cookie is used, among other things, to place and display user-relevant advertising as well as to create reports on advertising campaigns or to improve them. Furthermore, the cookie serves to avoid multiple displays of the same advertisement. Each time one of the individual pages of our website on which a DoubleClick component has been integrated is accessed, your browser is automatically prompted by the respective DoubleClick component to transmit data to Google for the purpose of online advertising and the settlement of commissions. There is no legal or contractual obligation to provide your data. If you do not grant us your consent, a visit to our website is possible without restriction, but not all functions may be fully available.

We intend to transfer personal data to third countries outside the European Economic Area, in particular the USA. The data transfer to the USA takes place in accordance with Art. 45 (1) GDPR on the basis of the European Commission's adequacy decision.
